And I'm speaking about the FGC, as a competitive community, and not a group of game consumers. But saying that the game's shit because of the issues at release, which were all fixed, is dropping the ball. To me, if you're a player and decide to boycott the game for its bullshit "disc-locked content", that's 100% fair. And it still happens today with games like Valorant and Overwatch. The franchises design team referred to Kazuya and Nina Williams as 'the soul or the cool part' of the original 1994 game. The actual release of those games were complete shit. Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada created Kazuya Mishima as a corrupted character with a 'pure dark side' as opposed to his father Heihachi Mishima, who Harada identified as having a more 'human dark side'. Do you really think that League of Legends, Counter-Strike, Heartstone and so on, had perfect games at release? I'm not even talking about the Beta phase, here.
Look at all the PC games having millions of connection everyday. I agree that they should fix their shit, but when they do and it's "too late", it doesn't rely a good message, doesn't it? If the FGC stops caring about a game outside of release before it has time to get fixed, Devs will make shitty, half-assed releases anyway.
